What are the 3 best books you’ve read so far this year?

Looking for book recommendations since I’m about 8 weeks out on my soonest library hold. I’m not terribly picky when it comes to genre but I’m not really into smutty romance or self help.

Flithy Rich Fae (romantacy don't know if it super smutty yet but I'm half way through I love it and there hasn't been not one smutty scene), Saving Noah (no smut at all) and The Last Letter (maybe 2/3sexy parts but I wouldn't necessarily call it smut)

My all time favorite that I read last year is Fourth Wing and Iron Flame

Funny story, Powerless & magnolia parks!

1. The Powerless Trilogy (Books 1&2 are out)
2. Fourth Wing Series (Books 1&2 are out) - this one has some smut, but not much, it’s more focused on the plot.
3. The Wren in the Holly Library (my current read, only one chapter so far that has smut and I’m 75% through the book)

Sold on a Monday, The Lost Apothecary, Outlander (first book)

I just finished "This I Know Is True" by Oprah and loved it! I dont care for self help either, i wouldnt categorize it as such. More like some reflections from Oprah that give one a lot of food for thought. Im also reading the third Game of Thrones book, they have so much more detail and character development than the show. Also read the 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. It was a quick beach read if you want something a little lighter

Update: The Wren in the Holly Library was utterly fantastic. It had 2 chapters with smut out of 60+ chapters. It is apparently going to be a duology though, not sure when the second book comes out, but highly recommend this one 😊

The things we Leave Unfinished by Rebecca Yarros: it’s a romance and does have a few spicy scenes but the spice doesn’t overshadow the actual story, which is phenomenal. And the Glass and Steele series by CJ Archer: it’s a magical mystery solving adventures with a little romance of the non-spicy variety set in Victorian England but there’s magic.
