Heya Mumma’s, I’m 10 weeks PP and exclusively breast feeding. what birth control have you used while breast feeding? Pros and cons? I’m so scared I’ll lose my supply or the hormones will affect Bub. marina isn’t an option for me. Keen to hear everyone’s experiences 😊

Mini pill. It’s annoying because you have to take it the same time every day but it’s the safest option. We used that and condoms until I could get a copper coil (I hate ingesting hormones).
Copper IUD. Didn't want hormonal birth control
I was told I couldn't have combined pill because of the hormones would affect supply so I had mini pill I have had the injection before because it saves me having to remember but it makes me really bad tempered and kills my sex drive 😂 so I avoid. My husband has had the snip now so we're just using condoms until he gets clear sample ...

I have injection every 3 mos. Just had my 1st injection. So far so good. The only symptoms i have is spotting which they said its normal. And yes im breastfeeding. It didnt affect my milk suply.
I got implanon 4 week PP. I’ve had it many times and it’s the best option for me :)
And a handy one is if you get it and it doesn’t work for you then you just have it taken out ;)
implanon was my bc before pregnancy but I’m breast feeding, like I said in post I don’t want a bc that will give hormones to Bub and the implanon does
