1st Bday
I have yet to make many mom friends. I have my one sticker that I love so much because of this app. Abe’s bday party is Saturday and I want him to have friends to play with. It sounds like you know what the next steps are. I'm in the same boat, with no parent friends, so my dude's 1st bday is really more about practicing gathering my family to celebrate than for Kino himself.
Having so many cancellations can feel hurtful when you put so much into starting a tradition of Abe feeling celebrated, but luckily this first year, you get a mulligan because he doesn't really understand yet.
If your family is letting you down, maybe let them know why it's so important for you for the years following, but you already are taking the next step of building an intentional support system outside of family ❤️
You're killing it Mama. Speaking as a someone who never had my bday celebrated so my baby's feels SUPER DUPER IMPORTANT, I know dat feel, and you're doing everything you need to to make him feel loved and cared for.
