first birthday saddies... 🥹

is anyone else feeling EXTREMELY sad/depressed & emotional about their child turning 1 year old? I'm really struggling, & I know there's so much joy, but man, this year just flew by... & it's kind of killing me how quickly she's growing up (even though it's only been 1 year)... any others or any advice/words of encouragement?

Yessss. My baby just turned one. We both have Covid and me and her dad broke up today

I wish I had some advice to give, but I'm feeling the same way about my son turning 1.

I feel that too, but think about all the firsts that are yet to come.

The first time your baby says I love you
The first time they write their name.
The first toddler flop
The first time they find their lifelong hobby
The first artwork for the refrigerator.
The first chicken nugget
The first time they pick out their own fish at the pet store
The first time they ride a roller coaster
The first time they pick their favorite color
The first time they pick a flower and bring it to you
The first time they have a favorite rock
The first time they say you are their hero

Still so many firsts to experience and you get to be right there by their side as they learn the world now. So much to do and so much to see for the first time through their eyes. Soak it in! ❤️🩷❤️🩷

✋🏾 my baby turns 1 tomorrow and I took the time out today to look at his footprints from the first month and seeing how big he’s gotten throughout the year really has brought tears to my eyes.

Yes I was the same way leading up to it, like the whole year haha but then the day came and of course it was bittersweet but I was so excited to celebrate her and make her day special and start birthday traditions. So if you can think of something like that to do! Build a bear has a birthday bear and you only pay for however old they are so I did that with my baby and then we did a few other things in the evening!

It’s such a special day, soak it in! They only get more fun as they grow too 💕

This was literally me today. She was just walking holding onto things making funny noises and I started crying. How time just flew by.

I told my husband it feels like before graduation. So exciting… but what’s next? Hurry up and get here… but not too quick! What does that mean for my husband and I- another baby… looking for our next home… all the feels! Whatever you’re feeling breath it in- soak in it- this time will never come again. BUT the beauty of your child will keep growing. Feel the feels today and enjoy the growth tomorrow. The best is still yet to come! 🥰

Lol yeah, I felt this way with my first and I feel it coming with my second too. He’s got one more month of being an infant and it’s hard. Working on his baby book and it’s really special to see him be tiny.

I feel ya. Little man is my 5th and last kid. All his first are my last first. I can't believe he is one already. But I look forward to seeing who he becomes. My oldest is almost 22 so I have seen all the stages. I have an 18 year old and he is my first to go to college and I wonder if little man will as well. I'm sad sometimes that all the baby stages are over and he is very much toddlering already but I enjoy and soak in every moment and enjoy all the cuddles cuz I don't know when he won't want to cuddle with mommy anymore so I just enjoy all the moments as much as I can. There is so much more to come as these babies become toddlers and then they become big kids then teenagers and then onto adulthood. It's amazing to watch them grow!!

I have no advice I just know I’m gonna bawl my eyes out when we sing happy birthday to my son on the 30th. It feels like yesterday I saw those two pink lines on the test and now our babies are turning one this month. It’s been the best year ever ❤️

I've felt like this for the past 2-3 weeks. My little girl turned 1 on the 1st. It still doesn't seem like she should be 1 already.

I just keep reminding myself of all the firsts that are still yet to come. But I’m definitely full of emotions these last few weeks before I officially have a Toddler and not a baby.
