Dummy clip at night

Does anyone use a dummy clip at night? My little one has gone back to crying if he can't find the dummy in the night. We put quite a few in the bed, but obviously as the night goes on these end up falling out. Another mum suggested using the clip at night, but it worries me. Just wanted to know if anyone else uses it and if it worked.

I use a dummy clip at night and almost always he finds his own dummy! Much easier

I use mine with my little girl as it’s easier for her to find it herself and put it back in her mouth. If I don’t use a clip it always end up under the cot! Have you tried glow in the dark dummies ?

I personally wouldn’t - it feels like a safety risk in my eyes! I would rather get up a few times in a night than a strangulation risk!

Yes we use one because of that reason! He’s been absolutely fine! If he didn’t have it on, he would chuck them out of the cot. Then cry because he didn’t have it, and then we would have to go on In and find it. It became A game xx

@Kate it isn’t if you clip it to the band of their trousers or bottom of their top. It isn’t long enough to then cause any risk.

@Emily ahh see my boy is in sleepsuits as all pj sets fall off him and he’s in a sleep sack.. I’m just from a nursery background so all risks are taken away!

My first took a dummy and she had a little teddy with velcro on its arms and feet so you could attach 4 dummies.

@Kate I see. Don’t worry I completely get you! I’m also regional director of nurseries but I also do what is best for my us and our situation. All the best x

We havnt with our daughter but we did with our son. We also made sure to have a ton there and then everytime we went in we grabbed the ones on the ground and put them back up

@Aniqa thanks you! Yes we've been using those ones, he has no trouble finding them when they're in the cot, but he's a gymnast of a night and shuffles his way round so they all eventually fall out 🤣

@Emily it's so irritating isn't it, he used to be fine, but he now does a whole tour of the cot of a night so they all end up pushed out, or in his sleep seems to drop them out the side. Thank you, think I'll give it a go xx
