Yes, they just will test everything so leave extra time to get through security. I always get pulled aside for the extra check when I have baby stuff
Honestly at 9 months I just brought a thermos with hot water with me and I had no issue brought spare formula and bottles just in case of delays as well

I brought a thermos with hot water and powdered formula pre measured in the bottles. No issues through security in Canada and the US. We almost always got put to the priority line (same line as Nexus) and it was less stressful compared to the times we went through security without a kid.
If you have any milk bags, you could put the water in that. I froze mine and used it as an ice pack for the milk I had already prepared, and I had that Incase I needed to make up another bottle. I also brought ready made bottles, that was easier. Not sure if that is an option for you
I just flew with my 6 month old and yes it’s allowed they will pull your stuff aside and check it but that’s it :)
Why do you use distilled water? I have just boiled filtered water and let it cool down to make his formula.
I have flown west jet many times with my son, and I have brought water and formula, they test everything and its never been a problem
@Chelsea I usually buy a bottle at the airport just to save some time. And brings ready to drink formula.
I have brought water with powder formula and on another trip I brought ready made bottles for the flight. The ready made bottles are much easier forsure!

They’re usually pretty lax when it comes to flying with formula/milk products for baby. There is a chance they will take the water away from you. Can you buy premixed formula? Or are you going too far and need too much?
