Changed from aptamil pepti 1 to SMA althera

Hi my LO has been getting a few symptoms back again so I’ve spoken to the gp they are changing her from apramil pepti 1 to sma althera has anyone done this before and had a success? It’s for 2 weeks and if no good they will look at another! She has been amazing on aptamil till the last week going back to being quite unsettled and a lot of her symptoms have been coming back 😭

Haven't done that swap myself but it likely won't have much success if she was reacting to Pepti. Both are extensively hydrolysed formulas, so they do still contain some milk protein. Pepti and Althera are both whey protein based. So while common to try to hydrolysed formulas, you'd probably be better off trialling Nutramigen LGG instead as it's casein-based. That way you can check if she's allergic to just one of the proteins or if she's allergic to both x
