Chubby baby

Hey guys so I have a chubby baby and with him having rolls he’s getting sores on his neck. I clean it after feeds and bath he every night but it’s now red raw and skin is splitting. Said online sweat isn’t going to help. Any mums had this and what did you apply to help? I’ve tried sudocream and doesn’t seem to make any difference Thank you

Following - my little girl is the same. I’ve been applying sudocreme, somebody suggested baby powder ?

My daughter had this when she was younger. I was putting Vaseline but my health visitor said it holds too much moisture try something that’ll dry it out like sudo cream and it went a couple days after

Maybe metanium? We use it for really bad nappy rash and it’s amazing! Be careful though - it can stain!

I use baby powder after a bath and during the day get some sudocreme on a cotton bud and put that on and after a few days it cleared up xx

So I always used talc and then someone literally clutched their pearls as I was talking about it once so it's on my list to ask HV! At the moment I'm just double triple making sure it's dry after bath and using muslin dribble bibs everyday x

I've been using bepanthen, and it's helped my boy he is also a chubby baby it healed very quickly xx

I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard an alternative for talc is cornflour/cornstarch. Johnson’s now does a baby powder with cornstarch

I use baby powder under my little one’s neck. It helps to absorb any moisture and keeps it dry!

Bepanthen and if that doesn’t work try metanium but only using that sparingly and as soon as healed revert to bepanthen or sudocrem

Most likely a fungal infection. See Dr to confirm. My boy was prescribed canesten for skin folds which you can buy over the counter aswell

It's normally just sweat or dribble rash.ncan get it checked to make sure it's not fungal. Nappy creams tend to work well too.

I just clean it and then tuck a tissue in there to blot it dry. Keep that up during the day and it'll heal nice and quick. I wouldn't put anything on it as it needs to air, just drying is enough x
