Best baby bottles for wind and reflux?

I’m using Mamm bottle, and she seems to drink from it well. But continues to have bad wind and reflux. I’ve not tried any other bottles, and wonder if I should? Anyone got any recommendations?

I’ve changed to dr browns and they seem to be helping xx

Mam bottle with lansinoh teat

https://amzn.eu/d/5TdRvnJ

They fit perfectly and have a vent at the top of the tear to release more bubbles of air x

I had to change to dr browns. We tried mam, Tommee tippee, Tommee tippee advanced. Dr browns have been amazing, however they’re not so great for bigger feeds… my little girl is on 8oz now and they leak so badly 😅

Dr browns! But yes annoyingly they leak but they are so good otherwise x

Do the teats help with wind or reflux?x

Thanks - sounds like I should give Dr Browns a go. What’s the difference between the wide-neck and the narrow-neck versions?

Following

Hi - I asked Chat GPT the question about wide and narrow neck bottles. In case others are interested, this is what it says:

### 1. **Shape and Design:** - **Wide-Neck Bottles:** - These bottles have a broader opening and a shorter, wider body. - The nipple is broader and designed to mimic the breast, which can make it easier for babies to transition between breastfeeding and bottle-feeding. - **Narrow-Neck Bottles:** - **Shape:** These bottles are longer and narrower, with a smaller opening. - **Nipple Design:** The nipple is smaller and more traditional in shape, similar to older bottle designs.

Feeding Experience:** - **Wide-Neck Bottles:** - **Breastfed Babies:** The wider nipple can provide a more natural latch, which is often beneficial for breastfed babies. It can help reduce nipple confusion and make the transition between breast and bottle smoother. - **Comfort:** Some parents find that the shape of the bottle is easier for babies to hold as they get older. - **Narrow-Neck Bottles:** - **Flow Control:** The narrower nipple may control milk flow better for some babies, which can be important if your baby has a tendency to gulp too quickly or has issues with reflux. - **Portability:** Narrow-neck bottles are often more compact, making them easier to carry around in diaper bags.

Why Choose One Over the Other?** - **Wide-Neck Bottles:** - If your baby is primarily breastfed or you are planning to switch between breastfeeding and bottle-feeding, a wide-neck bottle might be a better choice because it mimics the shape and feel of a breast. - If ease of cleaning is a priority, wide-neck bottles are more convenient. - **Narrow-Neck Bottles:** - If your baby prefers a more traditional nipple or has issues with gas, reflux, or colic, a narrow-neck bottle might provide better control over the milk flow. - If you need a more compact and travel-friendly option, narrow-neck bottles are easier to carry around.

(Sorry long, but sharing in case useful)

@Kayleigh I called them to ask for a new bottle because of this. This said to only add the green wand but just before your giving the bottle. Mine haven’t leaked since xx

@Katie ooo I’ll give that a go, thank you! Xx

@Kayleigh glad you was able to make sense of what I put. I’ll blame it on sleep deprivation 🤣🤣🤣

Thought I would report back on this, in case helpful to others. Tried the Dr Brown bottles, and did think they were good. But she didn’t really like the round teat shape as is used to the flatted Mamm one. I also decided that wind she is experiencing is more generated in her gut, than from taking it in when drinking. To cut a long story short we went back to Mamm, and I’ve moved her on to lactose free milk and it’s really helped. (As well as lots of gas, she had tummy pains when eating, green stinky poos etc)
