Pregabalin

So i have been on pregabalin for around 10 months (450mg) i found out i’m pregnant this past saturday and i’m currently 5+3, ive lowered my dose to 300mg and went to the GP today who told me that i need to immediately stop the pregabalin. After a few hours of brewing, i thought i’d phone 111 for a second opinion as pregabalin withdrawals are horrible. They put me through to a pharmacist who told me that I should
absolutely not just stop the pregabalin and i should
reduce by 25-50mg weekly. But also i need to be prescribed 5mg folic acid tablets instead of 400mcg. Has anyone
had any experience with this? it’s caused a lot of anxiety for me xx

I was on this with my first pregnancy and I was told to stop immediately too and it was horrendous, I had HG and withdrawal and it made me very unwell. Is there another GP you could see for a second opinion? Good luck x

it’s stressful isn’t it 🥺i’m going to try and get another doc appointment tomorrow and get a second opinion because the pharmacist said stopping them immediately can cause miscarriage 😫i’ll let you know what they say tomorrow 🙏xx

Oh no, that’s not what you want to hear 😕 it’s really stressful, you think they’d have some idea on what is best to do. Good luck, I hope you get some clarity xx
