Misoprostol Advice

Hi everyone, I sadly have had confirmation I am having a blighted ovum but I just want to say thank you so much for all the support/advice/reassurance you’ve provided me in the last couple of weeks, I can’t explain how much I appreciate it.

I am currently an inpatient on EPU and I am having medical management with misoprostol. I am just wondering if anybody has any experience of this medication and going through this? I have had x3 doses now and besides cramping I’ve only had minimal bleeding since 8am. How long has it taken you to start passing the tissue using this? Or have you required different methods of treatment?

Hello, when this happened to me the EPU wouldn’t give the oral dose first, so it never worked for me and I ended up having to have a procedure. If they don’t give the oral dose first it works hardly at all. I’m sad they are still doing this as some research came out earlier this year to show that an oral dose should be given first for much better outcomes. (Assuming they have only given you the pessaries)
I’m also really sorry you are going through this as I know how hard it can be. I hope they take good care of you and your are feeling better soon x

Just wanted you to know you are not alone. This also happened to me very recently and I ended up having surgery. Hope you’re doing ok, it’s a really horrible thing to go through so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to recover ❤️

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Fed up

Anyone else just feeling fed up in general? I just never feel happy anymore. Wake up dreading what the day ahead of us will be like.

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?

32 weeks

32 week growth scan and clinic appointment. Did anything unusual happen? Ive heard a few people saying 32 weeks was when they had a induction date
