High temp, cold hands and feet
Has anyone had this before? My sons had a high temp since yesterday but the last few hours was cold so had a bath which made him shiver and his hands and feet are cold, but he had a temp.
Gave medicine his not as warm now and sleeping within himself his not showing any other signs of being ill.
Not sure to call 111 as when I did last time about my daughter they said basically don’t call them about a temperature even tho she had it for 3 days☹️ I just worry a lot when it comes to health

Hey my little boy has had this and o think at the time he had tonsillitis - it’s quite common but can also be a sign that they say to look out for. Is calpol bringing his temp down that is usually a good sign . But if in doubt call for advice - who cares what they say about not calling for a temp - you are within your right to. If you think his ok you could always book an apt for drs tomorrow or if you think that will be hard 111 will book one for u.
Just a warning - if you baby is sleeping and you call 111 they make you wake them up and do the checks you say. Xx
thank you so much. I recon he has some sort of infection. The nurofen does bring it down but then eventually it goes up. His sleeping now and feels okay so I’ll wait until morning and try doctors. Thank you again x
My son was exactly like this last week! He was back to normal by day 5 🙂 hope your little one feels better soon!
I hope he’s feeling better today! Just in case you didn’t know, because I didn’t, I think it’s not recommended to bath them when they have a temperature. It can causes convulsions I think, though of course this is rare. But just a heads up! X

Last week was hell for my little boy. He was so hot but cold hands and feet. Day 3 I took him doctors and he had tonsillitis. Day 4 he got a little rash. Day 5 he was covered in a rash and took him to AnE and thankfully was told it’s just part of the viral infection. His temp stopped on day 3 and day 4 was when the rash started. So just in case you experience any of that, it’s not as serious as it looks. But hopefully your baba is on the mend now
