So my partner wants to take me away for a weekend. he’s being very particular that he wants a Christmas tree to be up during our stay lol, he also says it’s 2 hours away from home and I’m due in December 14th what would be the cut off date that you would travel before your due date? ( it’s by car )

I'm due the 10th and my sister has booked her daughters christening for the 3rd november and it's a 4-5 hour drove away and I'm not thrilled at all about doing it! That will be the last weekend away, long journey I do and I'm taking my hospital bag and car seat just in case. I'd say if it's two hours that's a bit better as worst case you could be at the hospital I'm two hours if you needed to be! Plan the fact you might not be comfy in the car at that stage and take things with you just I'm case? X

Most Christmas trees go up during November in hotels/restaurants etc having done my fair share of hospitality working. Even if you go end of November/early December I think you’ll be fine. I’ve just make sure you take your notes with you (unless you’re on badger notes)! I gave birth to my first child on 8th December and I was still driving to go to Christmas markets 2 hours away on the 5th. It’s all personal preference but I would still go and take as many breaks you need on the journey etc. If you’re that worried speak to him about it and see if he can find somewhere slightly closer.

We went on a ‘babymoon’ 5 weeks before our LG was born, 6 weeks before her due date and it was perfect timing for me/us.
I was the most uncomfortable & grumpy in the last 3 weeks, so I probably wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere during that time. That said, some people feel great right up until they give birth. Like Amy said, Christmas starts in November now so you’ll probs find a tree up in most places quite early.x

I'm Best Wo-man at my mates wedding on 21st December and having a c-section on 23rd 😂
I have warned him that I may not be there (it's my 2nd and likely to come early)! That's only an hour away, but I'll have my hospital bag/notes etc, just in case.
2 hours seems doable, as long as you're prepared xx
