What does your day look like with your 3 or 4 month old? I’m wanting to know if our routine is the usual or if we should be doing it differently! X

Very interested in what other people are doing too!
We get up at 8am, if he wakes before then I feed him back to sleep (we co sleep) his wake windows are an hour and a half long and we contact nap for all of those. (He wakes as soon as I put him down 🫠). His naps are around half an hour to an hour at the moment.
During his wake windows I breastfeed and follow up with a top up bottle. He then plays on his mat, does tummy time, I read him stories and do some singing. Not all in one wake window though! I bath him every other day (mostly).
I take him to bed at 8.30 where we have white noise, a sleeping bag and feed to sleep.
I make sure to get out once a day for a walk, coffee, baby group or breastfeeding support group. I think I'm going to start an afternoon walk too because I hear it's good for their sleep. Xx

I get up when baby wakes up which is usually any time between 7 and 9:30 (we co-sleep with a sidecar cot but he always joins me at around 2/3am). Then he goes in his play mat while I eat breakfast and have a cuppa. He’s usually ready for a nap after a bit of play time once I’m done. We contact nap. Then we will usually go out somewhere after a feed and he’ll look around and nap in the pram or car. Sometimes I wait to go out after his long nap which is usually over lunch time and can be 3hrs!we then walk the dogs with my husband when he finishes work. Every other day he has a bath before bed. I just follow his cues. No real routine. Although he tends to follow: feed(snack), play, feed, sleep.

thanks so much for sharing! Your schedule is nearly identical to ours which is really nice to know!
My boy doesn’t like being put down either and wakes straight away. I can’t actually get anything done in the day. Sometimes I struggle to make something to eat!
We actually use a swaddle and need to transition him out of it. Did you ever use a swaddle before the sleep bag?
We don’t go to classes, I’ve never been because I don’t really feel like it’s my thing. If you don’t mind me asking, what do you get from the classes? Do you go to chat to other mums or do you find your baby benefits in one way? Xx

thanks so much for sharing it’s really nice to know we have similar schedules! We don’t really have a time routine either, we just do what he needs when he needs it! X

I used the love to dream swaddle for a while but I found when I didn't bother putting it on he slept with his arms by his side or out stretched which didn't match how the swaddle held them. He also began to strain while wearing it so I switched to an arms out bag.
I go to the classes to meet other mums, it's nice to hear that I'm not alone in certain struggles and to get some advice from mums with slightly older babies. Both the groups I go to are free and at the local children's hub so no pressure to go or if he sleeps or feeds through it.
The breastfeeding one has been amazing for support and advice. The baby group I go to has different toys out each week so I can see what things he likes. He actually rolled over for the first time there this morning! It's also great for him to meet other babies and observe them, plus helps build his immune system so that nursery won't hit his immune system as hard when he starts there in the new year🤞🏻
Would 100% recommend joining a social group of some sort xx

Following. I have an almost 3 mo old - we don’t really have a routine yet. This is my first baby so still trying to figure it out… Sleeping during the night is a hot mess more often than not 🥲

My baby is 4m & he’s asleep by 8-9 & wakes up at 6-7 sometimes 8 the first time he wakes up he wants to eat & go back to sleep & he’ll wake up around 10-11 around that time I feed him & he stays up 1-2 hrs during that time I do tummy time & just little activities like putting different scents on cotton balls & put it under his nose. We also play for 30 min or maybe less just until he gets bored or tired. We also practice rolling & working on neck control by picking him up & going back & forth & side by side it helps them practice. We also practice his hearing I use his rattle & let him follow it. We also do a thing where I hide behind him & shake his rattle in difference directions. Helps with following the noises and also knowing if his hearing has changed. We recently started doing an activity where I place two markers for him to grab and I slowly pull him up. It helps with neck & back control.

I’ve also been letting him self soothe himself to sleep once fed & changed. He’s been doing good & improving slowly but surely

I found trying to follow a strict routine really stressful. I much prefer being flexible and my baby is happy. I think it could depend on baby’s temperament, maybe some thrive on routine but every day’s sleep is different for us and that’s okay.
