Currently 3 days PP after a C section and my feet and ankles are so swollen. Anxiety level is 10000🥲 is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this and knows how to treat it? The marks are from compression stockings.

I suffered with feet and leg swelling for about two weeks PP. I could literally feel them swelling. I found light walking helped along with having them up when seated. I also found massage really helpful so I made my husband massage my feet and legs. I didn’t have a c-section though. If you’re worried talk to your doctor, or if you can, call the hospital. We could call the labour ward/triage if we had any concerns for like a week after birth and they were very helpful.

I had a C-section and my feet and legs were so swollen. I was told it’s from all the fluids that they give you. It went down within a couple of weeks. Drink lots of water and pee lots. Also walking around the house if you can helped me as well.

My feet and lower legs were so swollen after I gave birth and nothing would bring them down. It was 4 weeks until I could wear real shoes. I think it’s just one of those things they don’t tell you about x

Feet up above the heart as much as possible (even when sleeping) and get someone to push the fluid upwards away from
Legs! I ended up having to go get them checked at hospital and they told just this 👆🏼

Mine were like 20x bigger and randomly happened as I took my first shower post partum.. I was in the hospital still.. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. They nurses were like nope it's normal. LIKE WHY DONT THEY WARN US!!??? I WAS SWOLLEN FOR OVER A MONTH!

Experienced this during third trimester and wore compression socks and kept my feet lifted up as much as I could:

Mine were like this for a couple weeks, keeping your feet elevated as much as possible will help!

Totally normal!😊 I had swelling in my stomach/legs/feet for a week or so afterwards, it’s major surgery, rest up and allow your body to heal ❤️

Yes, normal. It’s the extra volume from pregnancy. Makes its way down there due to gravity before it sheds off

Totally normal! Mine stayed super swollen for like two weeks...so swollen I couldn't fit any of my shoes 🫠! I wore my compression socks the hospital gave me a ton (actually, I still have them almost 3 years later and I packed them in my hospital bag for baby #2 just in case)

they gave me lasiks which helped my swelling right away!
