I'm officially 40 weeks and 4 days, and my body is refusing to let this baby out. I was scheduled for induction at 7 am. yesterday and have been in the hospital ever since. They started me on Cytotec and gave me 4 doses. Before starting the pitocin this morning, I was told I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. Now that the doctor is here, she says I'm still only 1cm dilated, and my cervix is still really high. So they have stopped the pitocin so that I am able to walk around and eat something. They're going to try cervidil overnight to see if that helps. If there's no progress by morning time, she wants to do a c-section. I'm in so much pain from the contractions, and now I just feel super defeated. I'm just ready to have my baby girl in my arms.

I’m so sorry your labor isn’t going the way you had wanted or planned, but you’re not defeated. The pain and hardship sucks but soon, one way or another you’ll have your baby girl soon.
Some babies are just stubborn and creative 😉💕 it’s going to be alright 💕 best of luck

thank you🥹

So sorry. I advice you let them do the CS, the most important thing is you and baby being alive and well. I’m 40+3days and this was what I was avoiding. Unnecessarily long labor via induction leading to emergency CS so I opted for a scheduled CS.
