I just gave my baby girl a straw cup and let her chew on it then she Figured out that if she sucks on it like a bottle, then she gets something out of it ..

I would put my finger over my straw when we were out at restaurants occasionally. Then put it to her mouth, let go of the straw a little bit, so she could have some water on her tongue.

Then she got old enough and demanded that she sips from the straw as well, cause everyone else was doing it around her.

Took a couple too big of sips the 1st couple times, but she finally got ahold of the amount she wanted and now loves them haha

My 2 babies were so different with this. My first took ages to learn and it was only until I put kefir in it which he loved he worked it out. And with my second he somehow learned the first time

I've just introduced a straw cup to my 8 month old today, she just chewed on it but I plan on giving it to her for a bit everyday and hoping for the best

I gave my son a straw cup at 8 months and he just chewed it at first but then started sucking it

We just starting giving them to her to figure out, tried everything everyone else suggested before that and it just wasn’t working. She just picked it up the other day out of nowhere when gunning for nana’s soda water and now there’s no stopping her🤣

My baby girl has been on a straw cup since about four months old (since she never took a bottle). This one from legendairy milk is nice because you can squeeze it to make the milk come up the straw. It helped her learn pretty quickly!
