Anyone else’s 14/15 month old really awful with their water intake? Such a struggle to get her to drink. She literally has about 3oz a day roughly atm and that’s with GREAT struggle. Yesterday she only had about 2oz.
If we weren’t on to her with it she’d have a few sips all day! She refuses most of the time we offer though.
Is this normal and does it improve?
We use Tum Tum cups and open cups and it’s the same with both. We do the whole drinking in front of her and exaggerating with our water etc etc. She was absolutely fine with it before btw so it’s not that she can’t drink from her cups etc as she used to drink really well up until more recently!
If it weren’t for her milk she has twice a day I think she’d probably be getting quite dehydrated, surely! 🤦🏻♀️ I also try give her lots of hydrating foods throughout the day when I can too but it’s still a worry that she’s not even drinking the bare minimum she should be!

We added the tiniest bit of sugar free squash and it made all the difference. I was adamant that we couldn't and he needed water but then I thought actually it's not going to do that much harm and he's going to be getting more fluids into him. Now he drinks so much
have you had to keep the squash in there? I just didn’t want her getting used to a different flavour and never drinking plain water again 😓😓 x

When it’s hot and he needs to drink more than he is I add a bit of squash in. But he will still drink plain water and funnily enough when we went abroad he drank mostly water. Thinking about it now could have been because it was bottled water and not tap water

He can and will now drink water alone, but definitely drinks more with the squash in x
