Shrinking after pregnancy
I was able to delivery a healthy girl at the beginning of July with an 18cm large fibroid. My doctor told me it’s likely they’ll shrink postpartum but it’s now 7 weeks later and still huge. It sticks out of my belly. Anyone have experience with this? Did yours shrink postpartum and how long did it take? Thanks!

@Naomi hi Naomi , I did have a c section but also had the option for vaginal. I think it depends on the location of the fibroid. Mine wasn’t blocking the birth canal but was causing a lot of pain m. I would prep for both
Hi Stephanie, I am scheduled for a c-section because I have a 20cm fibroid too! I just wondered if you had a lot of pain during your recovery because of the fibroid?
@Kelly hi Kelly, I don’t think I had any extra pain because of the fibroid. I did have more bleeding than usual and had an iron transfusion post op but didn’t need a blood transfusion

Hello, I don’t have advice (sorry!!) but just wondering if you had a vaginal birth? My midwife has just told me I’m ’very high risk’ because of a 3cm fibroid that my OB is completely unbothered by, and midwife wants me to consider a c section because of it!
