Surrounding area's to consider moving to out of Croydon
We are considering moving our young growing family out of Croydon. The cost of renting is ridiculously high and getting worse, especially if you're just trying to live anywhere half decent and safe. The council tax is a joke, and ultimately, didn't see ourselves in Croydon for several years. Is anyone else feeling this way and considering moving further out to another area? Would like some suggestions on where to consider and is multi cultural 👩🏽🧑🦱🙍🏻♀️

Could have literally written this myself! I’m the exact same position. Problem is everywhere somewhat close by seems so so expensive so we’re feeling at a bit of a loss 😩
I used to live in Croydon. We decided that Kent was the next best place for us & I’ve NEVER looked back
@Hannah lovely you've found somewhere new to call home 🤗. Can you recommend okay parts of Kent to look into where it's fairly diverse
@Ell I totally understand, I just know we can't remain in Croydon too much longer 😕.
Yesss 100% places like Dartford, Gillingham, Rainham, Maidstone… we live a bit further out in sittingbourne but really love it, and it’s starting to become a lot more diverse where we are too! Let me know if you want to know anything else 😊 also as we have family in south London it only takes about 1hr 10 mins to get us back in!
