My fiancé and I have repeatedly told him not to. The only problem is that we live together. We keep our distance as much as we can from him but there’s no way to fully prevent him from picking her up and doing this serval times a week.
My daughter loves kissing and hugging as she’s learning about acts of love. It’s really sweet and I love that she has a big heart. She is not old enough to understand that hugging and kissing comes with boundaries. I’m beyond frustrated that my (almost) FIL has the mindset of- she wants to love me so let her love me and bacteria helps build her immune system anyway.
WHY IM POSTING THIS- I NEED YOUR HELP!! Please share links to articles/ credible quotes I can share with him to understand how dangerous and overall disgusting it is. I’m not even going to mention him encouraging dog licking and not washing hands after smoking cigarettes…

He’s also set up secret cameras between my bedroom and bathroom to “make sure I let his dog outside during the day” and leaves a loaded AR-15 on the ground 5 feet away from my daughter’s bed. He defends these acts by saying the camera was mounted in his bedroom and the gun is in his bedroom but the one and only time I shut his bedroom door, I was threatened by him. Unfortunately, our only safe place is in California. It’s just been a pain in the ass to get back into an apartment without a $6k deposit. My man and his dad never lived together before so they thought we’d all give a chance. My man apologizes every day so please don’t blame him. It’s all a pretty complicated situation😞
That sounds horrible. It doesn't seem like a safe environment for your LO. Is there anyone else you can live with? Even out of state till you save up money. If he is the only option, try to make a safe place in the room(s) you use. Try to get out of the house as much as you can. Sorry you have to go through this.
