Idk I'm tall and can hide my weight well and I'm definitely chubby (more so post baby and not losing the weight). If you're self conscious you can ask your boyfriend about it but if you eat healthy and do some exercise try not to stress 💕 I think a huge part of attractiveness is confidence and that knows no size

I think you should care more about how you view yourself and how you feel in your body than how others view you

At your height, according to BMI tables, you are considered obese. A healthy BMI for your height is 18.5-24.9. Which is around 135 lbs. But don’t gain or lose weight for anyone, or do it to keep someone. Do it because it can lead to Healthier life.

Are you healthy? That’s what matters? Those BMI scales aren’t the best to go by. Get bloodwork done to determine if you have high cholesterol, high blood sugar, etc
Check how much weight is muscle as well! That plays a big part.
I have a lot of muscle, bloodwork is great, I want to lose weight for me, not because of what I’m “considered”. Do you boo.

I’m 25 at 5’3” I was 170lbs for a while after having my son and I didn’t realize how overweight I was until I saw pictures of myself. Now I’m 150lb and I feel so much better

It depends on your body type. I have big bones and muscles with bigger feet than my sisters who are 5 inches taller than me due to different body types. My frame is just bigger. BMI is useless for people like us bc my “healthy” weight was in fact VERY UNHEALTHY.
That being said I’m currently overweight for sure since baby was born.
If you want to know more about your frame- you can see your bone size by trying to put pointer finger and thumb around your wrist. If they overlap you have small bones, if they meet-average, if they don’t meet you have large bones. This impacts weight as well.
I would recommend a health approach as well. How do you feel? Are you active? Do you mostly eat healthy?

It wasn’t an insult. Big is not bad and small is not good. Even if you’re a little bigger, he clearly sees something he likes. He could have said fat girl but he called you a porn category for a reason.

BBW began when plus sized women wanted respect and not being body shamed especially by people utilizing the word fat to describe them. In the fashion world, they have created a whole magazine entitled just that: BBW which stands for Big Beautiful Woman which launched in 1979 and was a significant voice for body positivity movement from the 1980’s and 1990’s. I’m not quite sure how this has a connection to porn as the roots of BBW definitely didn’t start there.

yes,thankfully no health issues.I would say I could probably lose a good 20 pounds but I wouldn’t consider myself a bbw I guess😅

Oh I thought you were asking for advice. Honestly I’d be offended if someone said that to me. Like seriously? What a crappy thing to say. No one should comment on your body, especially not a friend of your partner. Doesn’t matter if they mean it as a compliment or insult they just have no business talking about your body in my opinion.
Right now I’ve not lost my baby weight-or I lost most then gained a lot back due to stress. Either way I still don’t consider myself obese even though by the definition I technically am.

she’s 25 so I’m assuming the friends have no idea about the history of BBW. In the current generation, BBW is a porn category. If she was 45, I would have used a different reference. If the person who said it was a girl, I also would have used a different reference.
