SMA Alfamino experiences

We went from Althera to Alfamino but the difference was amazing, he’s so settled now minus reflux he’s thriving on it xx

Everything changed for my LO when we switched to Alfamino. He’s amazing on it

Things got better for my baby girl on alfamino however there were some external factors that I found out that was causing her a rash and flaring her allergies like cat dander/ fur and whilst weaning other food groups and types due to allergies and intolerances

Are you switching from Nutramigen Puramino to SMA Alfamino? Just curious as we are currently on Nutramigen Puramino after Aptamil pepti 1 but no improvement so far… wondering whether to ask for SMA Alfamino next!

@Alexandria he was on Nutramigen 1 with LGG if that helps. We've done the same though, gone from Aptamil pepti 1 to Nutramigen and now to SMA Alfamino.

We swapped from Nutramigen to Neocate after also trying Aptamil Pepti and SMA Althera - the difference it made was amazing, we finally got a happy, settled little boy! I wished we’d pushed to try it sooner x

was the nutramigen formula you tried the Puramino one or the hydrolysed one?

Literally saw a difference almost instantly it’s mad! Just got other issues going on still but she got worse on Althera than on full cows milk didn’t get it really, so alfamino has been great but we’re only 5 days in x

it was hydrolysed, we tried Pepti 1 first, then Nutramigen then SMA Althera (all hydrolysed). Wasn’t until we were given the Neocate (amino acid based) via the dietician we saw the difference xx
