I'm an Indian planning to settle in the UK. We're think of naming our little girl 'Pranah Pallavi'. Will it be a good one to pronounce for the UK people? It is pronounced as praa-naa pa-la-vee. PS. Pranah means life.

I honestly love it. If you get rid of the h there will be a less chance of people misreading it as piranha hahaha
That's a good idea. Thanks xx

I pronounced it the same way you wrote. I also didn't see piranha until the comments. But there will always be something you can turn a name into, so if you love it go for it xx

same as Liz, I think it's nice and lovely meaning. I didn't think of the fish either but maybe because I'm French and would pronounce the fish "pee-rah-nah". So nothing little your little one's name.
Aww. Thanks everyone xoxo. We'll go on with Prana then
It's actually my name. I'm from Kerala, we get a choice to have parent's name or caste/surname. We're choosing parent's name.

I think it’s beautiful name and I said it exactly as you wrote it before I even read how to pronounce it! x

I immediately thought of piranha but I think if it is spelt Prana it will be fine! Lovely meaning 💗

Beautiful name! And same as I also pronounced it like you spelled it before reading how it’s pronounced :)
My other choices were 'Rituparna', 'Ritu', 'Kriti'
