Baby rolling over in sleep

Hi, my 4 month old has started constantly rolling onto his belly, however he’s started doing this when he’s sleeping also or sleeping on the side and I’m really worried he will stop himself breathing. I try moving him on his back but he rolls onto his side / back again. Is it safe for them to sleep on side at this age?

If they can roll them selves then they are fine to belly sleep in general. My girl did the exact same with solo naps. When she’s with me she will be on her back since she’s more comfortable with me. It’s scary at first but I found watching my girl belly nap gave me the confidence that she would be fine. She knows how to move her head very well so if your boy has really good head control too I wouldn’t worry

Yes, it’s safe as long as he is rolling himself over. Always put him to sleep on his back as you’re doing and don’t worry if he rolls himself ♥️

Their fine im more comfortable with my baby sleeping on his tummy (ofc just make sure there head if fixed good so there still breathing) but i thinks it better and safer. For one you dont gotta worry about their heads getting flat or them choking on their tongue

And they sleep longer that way….when their on their back they have too many involuntary movements and wake themselves up their side is ok but if you don’t brace their back against a pillow or something they do tend to roll over eventually
