My girl had a belly like Winnie the Pooh. I had the ultrasound tech worrying me “oh we need to check you for GD”, I had multiple scans to monitor her… she was born 7lb and scrawny. Turns out her constant hiccups was her drinking the amniotic fluid by the gallon and holding her bladder. Belly full of fluid.
That makes sense! I had glucose in my urine at 26 week appointment and she said if I have it again I’ll be getting tested. But I can feel him getting the hiccups! Thankyou x

The hiccups are the worst, little terrors. Next scan look at the bladder. The clue was my girls was full at every scan, making her belly all big. Still as a toddler holds her bladder till she’s bursting 🤦🏼♀️ x

My midwife said it’s normal for the belly to be larger at 20 week scan, I think it’s if it’s a lot larger later on if you have a growth scan for whatever reason then they would suspect GD xx
