Struggling with body changing

I'm 12+4 but I've been really struggling with my body changing already , even this early on. My breasts are a cup size bigger and they were already massive (F cup!) And I'm a size 16 but worked hard and lost quite a bit of weight over the last couple of years which I'm proud of and pleased about. I'm finding it hard to not feel hung up on the extra cellulite now and the way my stomach is starting to grow into a proper bump even though its the best knowing my baby is growing inside me and I'm so grateful. I know my body is doing an amazing thing but it's getting me down and despite how much I try to remind myself of this it's not really helping. When I feel uncomfortable/ dont fit in my normal clothes anymore I find it particularly hard. Anyone else feeling this way, and how are you navigating it?

I’m sorry as I don’t have any advice on how to manage these feeling but thank you for sharing 😢 I’m 12 weeks and feel very much the same. Thought I was in it on my own. Didn’t think it was normal for my body to change so much. If it helps I’ve already got myself some new clothes and a new style. I’ve told myself I can sort my weight out after the pregnancy but for now I’ll just focus on me x

Just wanted to write to say I’m feeling the same way. I’ve always had a bit of a belly and so I know what I have there at the minute is just that, and not a bump.. so then I feel almost guilty for not fitting into ANY of my clothes right now! But all I want to eat right now is carbs! I feel like I should exercise but by the time I get home from work I just want to crawl into my bed! So yes, I just wanted to say, I feel you! Hoping we all move past this fed up feeling soon (I plan to go shopping soon to get some new bits so hoping that will cheer me up) xx

It’s such a hard part of pregnancy that people don’t talk about enough. I genuinely find this stage of the pregnancy the hardest in terms of body image. I weirdly found it much easier to cope with when I became bigger and my bump became more defined. I feel like this early inbetween stage is really hard because it just feels like weight gain rather than bump! For me personally, when bump became more defined, I was so much more accepting of my body image.

@Beth so true, people don't talk about it enough. I really hope once my bump gets bigger I feel happier in my skin.

@Melanie it's so hard. Thanks for helping me feel less alone with your comment. The tiredness doesn't help with the guilt I feel around not exercising as much as I know I should be. Going shopping is a great idea.

@martha not nice having these feelings but I'm glad I'm not alone in this. New clothes I think will be my best bet to help me feel a bit better about myself x
