red rash maybe eczema?
hi mamas!!
im a first time mom and not really sure what this is!! please help me, it comes and goes. i’ve washed everything down all her toys, her bedding and everything it’s only ever been on her face and it’ll clear up within 2 days to a week. Sometimes the aveeno baby lotion works sometimes it doesn’t, i’ve tried sudocream, barrier creams on before she eats because i thought maybe from drool but nope. I brought her to our family doctor but they are not helpful and had no answers. sorry for the speedy picture, she’s 9 months and on the move so it’s hard to take a more clear photo

Looks like an allergic reaction or a heat rash
i googled it and thought maybe dairy??
Even my baby has it on her cheecks. Her pediatrician said that its eczema. They prescribed ointment for the same. Once applied, It stays good for some days and again comes back and then I have to apply it again.
I had similar looking skin as a baby. It was teething and terrible eczema
Maybe both? Doctor said eczema can be a food allergy I'd check in and ask me a while you can try eczema lotion and/or aquapher
Lucky for us the lotion was enough. Drool and any moisture can make it worse. My sister only showered my niece twice a week for a loooooong time cuz it flared up her eczema pretty bad... Maybe try a dermatologist if your family doctor wasn't helpful?
You could try cutting out dairy and see if that helps if your breastfeeding it can take something like 2+wks to be fully out of your system. Can you try seeing another doctor? Have you also tried changing detergents or soaps to see if that minimises it?
Take her to the doctor. They might need to prescribe an antibiotic cream
I would check what you are washing her toys with, anything that goes in the mouth might get saliva and go on to her cheeks, I obyl use dawn dish soap and only bath bath like 2 a week, she is 6 months, anymore than that she gets red and dry, I also heard the tallow cream is amazing for eczema, if that's why it is its all natural , I use avene gel cream on my baby's face in the winter it was so cold here, oh I meant to mention that the baby wash I dont use anymore since it made her cheeks red, she was allergic! We just use a bit or the shampoo in the bath and keep it scent free
My little girl gets that around her face and it’s an allergic reaction to tomatoes for her. And irritation from using Milton x
yes she has a quick bath after dinner before her night routine consisting of lotion and bottle before bed! all her body wash and lotion is unscented and for eczema, i’m thinking she needs a steroid cream tho!!
