So I know bottle is ok for 2 hours once made and that once baby has started they have sn hour but how does it work?
Is it 2 hours and then an hour to feed
OR
2 hours, feed must start before the 2 hours is up and fed within the hour so technically ok for 1 hour and then 1 hour of feeding?

We’ve been counting on it being ok as long as it’s started within 2 hours and our little boy’s been fine so far… a couple of times I’ve made it in the night when he’s stirring then he’s fallen back asleep and had it 2.5 hours later. I think we’re all at risk of overthinking this and causing ourselves more stress than needed tbh! x

If a bottle is in the fridge, it’s 24hrs…2hrs is at room temp and 4hrs if in a cooler bag (just incase you were unaware) but I also do 2hrs to start the feed.

I think formula is okay out 1 or 2 hours after baby has last touched the bottle. But I didn’t know you could store bottles in the fridge I thought that was really bad and causes alot of bacteria?

so how do you warm it back up? Because it’s going to be cold after coming out of the fridge

you can put it in a jug of boiling water for a few minutes.

Honestly ladies, we make ourselves too anxious by following all the "rules" to a tee. I've had 3 babies, my 3rd being 3 months old now and I make all bottles for the day in one go and store in the fridge, then heat in microwave (shaking in-between to avoid hotspots). So that's 6 feeds, and are always used within 24hrs! Sod making on demand!

I do 2hrs for each bottle. My lo likes to have a bit when it's first made then an hour later a little bit more.

@Karly I always microwave! The NHS says no because it has to account for stupid people, but if u shake in between 10 second bursts there's no issue!

we do the same x
