International flight with my 1.5 year old

Yes! Liquids for babies/toddlers are considered medically necessary and don’t have to adhere to the regular liquid size limit, within reason. We traveled with our son when he was still taking formula, I filled up one of my metal water bottles with enough hot water to make a few bottles if necessary, had his water cup already filled, and brought through a bunch of pouches. Again, along as it’s not a ridiculous amount, you can bring liquids through for littles greater than 3.4oz. Just let them know before screening that you have liquids for your child

Yeah, same as said. It’s considered medically necessary. So you can bring powdered formula and water, or ready to feed formula, or breast milk in pretty much any amount. Once, we brought a case of ready made (last year) so that was 6 bottles of 8oz each lol and they make you go through an extra screening, but it’s no big deal.

I always give the agent a heads-up when I put my bags on the belt, which often helps speed up the process. Sometimes they do a visual exam and quickly send me on my way, other times they open the container and hover a test strip (they should not put anything in the milk or actually touch it). For what it’s worth, I’ve found that the freezable coolers or a CeresChill keep milk coldest longest. Good luck!

Even baby sunscreen, infant Tylenol, diaper creams, ect. Do not need to be under 4oz if it’s considered an infant/child item. If it has the word child or baby written on it, it’s more than likely accepted. I’ve traveled with my son (1.5years now) over 10 flights in the last year. Bring new toys he’s never seen, don’t be afraid to whip out the tablet(specially on travel days) and have them either drinking milk on takeoff/landing or sucking on a pacifier for the ear pressure. I always bring window spinners that attach to the plane window to keep him entertained. And board books!

I also highly suggest checking your stroller at the gate because you can adventure through the airport while waiting for your plane and you aren’t killing your back!

Also note that airports only have 2 percent milk and never any whole milk so be sure to bring your own milk in bottles with caps and just expect tsa to check everything but they won’t turn his milk away.

Good point about the milk in airports — though in a pinch, try a coffee shop (especially Starbucks) as they often stock whole milk for lattes, etc. Some baristas have even given it to me for free!

What about washing milky bottles on the airplane??

I would just fill up a travel bottle with some liquid soap and rinse in the bathroom until you’re able to properly clean them
