I have called my son “bum bum” from almost the beginning. At first it was just something I said because of how he was non stop pooing or farting as a newborn, however it soon stuck and here we are 14 months later with me still referring to him the same way (and he responds to it)🤦🏽♀️. I don’t want people thinking I’m weird so I’m trying to break out the habit but makes me wonder.. do you have any weird nicknames for your child/ren? How did they get that name?👀

I call my baby scrumpet 😂 in started cos she is always scrunched up so I called her scrunchy then 1 day I called her crumpet and then it became scrumpet 🤷🏼♀️
Her main nickname that everyone uses since before she was born is Elodie Melody 😂

Mine gets called pizza or pie baby. Her name is Margot which went to margot Rita pizza then pizza pie. It’s all gotten out of hand! Bum bum is funny though x

I call my little boy buggerlugs 😂 not sure where it came from though

I call my daughter Olibobs. Her name is Olive 😂

Booboo. It originated when she was brought a sully onesy and it reminded us of boo from monsters ink. Then developed to Booboo and stuck. She loves it x

I call my son pickles ... Because they are his fave snack

Squbs 😂 it comes from "bubs" idk why it evolved but it did.

we call my eldest bobby a lot, but her name is aurora so it’s nowhere near that😭😂 she responds to it🤣🥰 i often call my youngest fackimeekah, the beginning meaning bird in my language and the meekah just being random 🤣🤣 she also responds to it

Stinks 😂 because he’s a naughty, cheeky, stinky baby 🥰
Before he was born he was Squickle because my partner calls me Squishy and I call him pickle 😂

I've called my son Squish since I was pregnant

Me and my partner call our soon baba

Chunky - she was born premature at 3pound 3ounces. And it was amazing to see her chunk up over 3 months. She is now 10lbs and has knees like a hockey player!

My twins get called chicken...no idea why. I called my dogs chicken before we had babies and it just transferred over

I call my twins Fanboy & Chum Chum since my daughter is skinny & my son is chunky 😭

‘stinky booty’ she laughs so hard every time lol!

Im still pregnant but I call her mommas baby, baby girl, little mama. A few times I called her petunia and later I looked it up and it’s a flower.

BuBu, little Bu... From the beginning. But he also understands his name, so nw!

My daughter's 2, and her main nicknames are Yummy and Yum Yum since her name is Yemaya. Now, she mostly looks like my husband, but she has my body shape. I have a big butt, and she's been blessed with one too🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️🤣🤣. So, I personally call her Yemaya Big Butt, and she'll say it with me.🤣🤣🤣

in my head i call my twin girls stinky & smelly 🤣😭 me and my partner call each other stink bomb. in my brain it’s just transferred over lmao.

Chunky monkey!! Or chonks for short😂 Then squeeze their lil chunky legs

Idk why but one I just started messing around with names and came up with Fontasio and my son was cracking up when I said it so I made it his nickname 😂😂😂 his name is nowhere near that

My smiley baby’s called Milo and we call him Smilo. When he’s not smiley we call him Crylo 😅. The habit I’m trying to break saying in public is calling him Milosevic🫣 it’s not great to call your baby the name of a war criminal but my husband said it one day and it stuck 🫣🫣

Lmaooo this made me chuckle

Hahaha this post is giving me so many laughs 😂😂🤦🏽♀️ I am so glad I’m not alone with nick names you will have to break out of at some point Lool. My ex would try and change it around and say “bam bam” but it’s a very distinct “bum bum” lol at his 12 month vaccines I found myself telling him “the nurse isn’t going to give you any more injections bumbum!” Then I realised I say it in public too 🥴.. the nurse wasn’t phased luckily😮💨 . These replies make me feel so much better!

My baby had his bilirubin levels elevated at birth & now my hubby calls him bili 😭😂 (he’s perfectly fine now!)

Bubbarito . I named him this because he’s nearly 1 and he lovessssss to be swaddled so he’s my little bubbarito bubba- Naruto

lol burrito is the first thing that came to mind from that loool🤦🏽♀️

Little sheep 🐑 (my husband is curly and I made him love his curly hair (when I met him he spent an hour every morning to straighten this hair 🫠) and his hair are beautiful ! So I was like I hope we gonna have a curly babyyy and since then we always have called him even before he existed « little sheep »
(He’s a baby with straight hair for now 😂)

And we also call him our lovely potato (because he’s a cutie fat baby who can’t go anywhere without us 😂🥰

haha Sod’s Law looool.. so cute!

My daughters name is Phoebe bit my grandma has a thick accent and she always says "Beefy" so now all my friends call her Beef. And Beefcake.

Idk why but my son is 4 and I call him buns 🤷🏻♀️😅😁

Moomoo or monkey her grandpa started calling her that or mar mar

Our baby boy is Malakai and he’s so smiley so we started calling him smile-a-Kai ☺️ as well as ‘baby cakes’ ‘chub chub’ and ‘bubba’ (accidentally I called him puppy for the first few weeks as I was just so used to talking to our dog 😂🫣)

‘Ponnki’ or ‘poonki bear’ ???? Have no idea why lol but I swear it’s all I call him🥹

Muffin, Cheddar jack cheese, jackhopper, buddy :)
