Rash on cheek

Could be slapped cheek which is a viral infection

A new virus came out on the news not so long ago. We had rashes and upset stomachs, diarrhea, and nausea

If breastfeeding, it could be an allergic reaction.
My son would have rashes and eczema flare ups because I was consuming things he is allergic to. It could also be detergent or lotion, body wash. Etc.

It might be a drool rash or eczema. We battled drool rash a lot in the early days! I always called the doc for stuff like this and they were usually happy to chat through and advise via phone/photos over email to save us a trip in to the office with the little one.

he’s formula fed and got diagnosed with CMPA and has settled fine on his new milk so it shouldn’t be that. He has had what looks like eczema on his ears the past couple of days, which I had tried to soothe with coconut oil and I’ve also used aveeno. Think I’ll keep an eye on it through the night, and keep checking his temp and if there’s no improvement tomorrow call the doctors 😊

I see. My son also had eczema flare ups behind ears, neck and upper chest. My son turned out to be allergic to oats so aveeno did not help his eczema. We went through a lot of lotions, guessing, worrying, until we got him allergy tested at 5months.
The only thing that works for him is aquaphor and not bathing too often. Oh, and everything without fragrance free.

I did wonder if it was the aveeno so I’m going avoid it for now, I’ve got some different cream now which is fragrance free and free of oats etc so I’ll use that one instead and see how we get on. Thank you!

My son had some major heat rash in his back when I would hold him, and he had bad heat rash on his face from when I breastfed him. It started as soon as he was born and it stopped at like 3 ish months. It could be heat rash, because of the shape on his face very much resembles a breast right where a breast would be laying based on which way you were feeding him, but it could also be a rash from spit up or drool. I would find drool rashes all the time (once I wasn’t watching him while he slept 24/7🤣)
If he has none of the symptoms like I said above I would just say it may be some form of rash. Definitely schedule for an appointment and see what doc says

My little boy had a rash off and on like this (actually has it now) from drooling or spitting up. I do my best to clean his face a few times a day, and use pipette ointment (hypoallergenic — bought at target) as a barrier. Helps clear it up within a couple days. He’s teething g right now/drooling a lot which is why it’s back. If no fever or fussiness etc that’s my guess!

Aww, bless his little cottons! As he doesn't have a temp, I wouldn't think he has an infection. How long has he been on prescription milk for? As my baby had a CMA rash and it did take a few weeks to settle down once on new milk x

Heat rash maybe but if your concerned phone 111 if your in the uk and they can give you some advice and book you inwotth an out of hours gp if needed

Your detergent or baby’s soap! Try babyganics for detergent and dove for soap ◡̈ also aquaphor for his skin daily!
