Do you have to be induced at a certain point if you conceived Via IVF???

I was told this same thing. We induced at 39 weeks, but it didn't work the first time so I went in a couple days later and had my baby during the next induction. She was born only two days before her due date and everything went well.

I have been told I will be induced at 39 weeks as it’s safer as ivf is higher risk of the placenta not working as well at the end of pregnancy.

I would just point out you don't 'have' to be induced I hate how consultants word things.There is a slight increase in problems with the placenta but it also correlates to the fact that a lot of people receiving IVF fall into the older age bracket. I went into spontaneous labour at 40+3
