Sleepsuits vs pyjamas

What is a good age to switch babies from sleepsuits to proper pyjamas? My boy has always worn a vest and sleepsuit to bed (unless it’s been really hot) but I’m not sure if he’s getting a bit old for them now 😭 has anyone switched their little ones into pyjamas? Or are other people still putting their October babies in sleepsuits?

We’ve always used a mixture of both. We prefer pyjamas now though and when we get to 12-18 months we will only buy pyjamas as baby is tall so sleepsuits get grown out of way too fast but also make it awkward for him to crawl/ stand. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with older babies in sleepsuits if they work for you though x

I'm using pjs less faff with zips or buttons to change baby at night. X

I have a really long baby so he started wearing pjs at 4 months old 🥲 I did feel I robbed myself of the sweet baby in a sleepsuit period a bit, but we were buying bigger and bigger sizes and his toes just kept poking through 🥲

My boy has big feet too and they seem to outgrow the sleepsuits before he does 🙈 he’s also starting to stand and walk with assistance which was another reason I was thinking about pj’s over sleepsuits! I think I might go for either footless sleepsuits or pyjamas in his next size, just feels so sad that he’s not a little baby anymore 😭

I’ve just started buying pyjamas instead of sleepsuits. I always found she grew out of the footed ones quickly so had the footless ones but she wriggles so much it’s easier to get her in pjs then a zip sleepsuit!

I just get footless ones since she was 6 months old
