Have you ever been ill from eating deli meat before? Or even know anyone who has? It’s super unlikely and nothing to worry about
You’ll be absolutely fine don’t worry most people eat it anyway
It's very unlikely you'll get sick. The warnings for deli meat are due to the risk of foodborne illness, but it's a risk, not a sure thing. If you feel fine then baby is likely fine. Just keep it in mind for the future. 💜
Also as long as from now on you heat your meat itll be fine to eat
I eat lunchables quite often and ive even had subway which ur also not supposed to have and ive been fine aslong as the meat is fresh and hasnt been left out all day u will be fine its just advised against due to the risk of listeria however if its been stored properly ull be fine x
I had 2-3 weeks during pregnancy where a deli sandwich was all I could stomach and my baby girl is fine
@Monique it's not a ridiculous restriction. Even after being cooked, deli meat is a prime breeding ground for listeria monocytogenes, which can cause serious illness, and isn't destroyed by freezing and can survive at refrigeration temperatures. The chance of getting sick is low, it's true, but it's advised to avoid deli meats and certain convenience foods because if you do get sick if can cause serious complications during pregnancy so it's best to try and avoid. Yes, it's unlikely you'll get sick, but if you do it can be bad. So the restriction is there for a reason.
you’ll be fine, i ate it all the time during pregnancy
You’ll be fine, I’ve eaten Deli meat all the way through my pregnancy, the risks are so small!
You are fine don’t worry much about it I ate it sometimes while pregnant and d even raw salmon and my baby had nothing wrong
