Hello, does anyone have any advice for introducing mini dachshund to newborn? Thank you

I have 2 and how we did it was we put baby down in their car seat when we got home and obviously we supervised but allowed them to sniff and get used to the sent now they’re best friends and was from day one.
The best advice is don’t be anxious your dog will pick up on that and then they will become anxious be all positive and reassure them and praise them for doing good they’ll be fine xxx

I sat on the floor with my LO and my partner came over to us with the dogs and let them sniff his hands and feet and once they had calmed down then we let them go do what they want. They now know when I say no there's a baby they know to back away or calm down

We have 2 dachshunds, they both met our baby in the car seat so we could quickly pick the car seat up if they got over excited!
They were absolutely amazing though and still are, I think they know that she’s just a baby so are very gentle and calm with her 🥰
We didn’t get a chance to but if you do I’d bring home a blanket or something from the hospital that the baby has used the day before you bring them home so they recognise his/her smell the next day 🤗
