Hello, mammas. I am a single mother of 2 16 weeks pregnant with baby number 3 due February 19th 2025, and i had my previous two children naturally with lovely midwives 8lbs and 9lbs, but I would like to have a different experience and try a free birth. I am looking for more information on how to prepare to achieve a healthy delivery and birthing experience 🙂 any information would be greatly appreciated! 💜

A great starting point is to read the book birth on your own terms. It has lots of great info. Also another thing i could suggest is listening to podcasts related to freebirthing :) if you need someone to talk to im here for you. My insta is @a.r.l.e.n.7.7.7

A Brave New Birth by Andrea Olsen gave details on unassisted birth, might help 😊 I found it helpful for my second birth in the birth center but led by me rather than my midwives.

One of the biggest things you can do is highlight what your fears are, and assess whether they are inside or outside of your control. If they are inside your control how can you ease that fear. One of my partners fears was the baby not breathing, something within our control was to do a quick course on baby resuscitation. Needless to say we didn’t need it at all, but it made us feel comfortable incase we did!

thank you ladies so much ! you all have given me so much to think about! ill definitely do my research💜
