Baby fell out of high chair :(

I can’t stop crying from the guilt. I turned away for one moment to get his food from the fridge and heard a bang - he had managed to climb out of his high chair and fell on the ground. Hes 9 months. He’s ok and isn’t crying anymore, doesn’t seem to be in pain but I feel so much guilt. Is there anything I should check for with regards to head injury or anything else? Has this happened to anybody else?

I’d see if he has a mark on his head do you know if he definitely hit his head? I’d make sure that his behaviour was unchanged, eating and drinking okay, no sickness… if he becomes sick then I’d take him to a&e or go now if your concerned x

Gosh I’m sorry. Babies do things in the blink of an eye. Do a top to toe examination to check for any lumps and bumps. Is baby behaving differently? Are both pupils the same size? Any fluids would be a concern. Anything out of the norm or even just to double check, get it checked out as babies can’t tell us what’s wrong xx

Mine did the same at around the same age. We had a chair that attached to our breakfast bar stools so slightly higher than a high chair. If you’re worried get him checked. Do touch points, head arms legs belly etc for any pain/discomfort. Any sickness? Swelling?

This happened to my girl around the same age. We called 111 (we’re in the UK) and we were advised to go to a&e to be checked over

It’s better to check just in case 🙏🏼 My son had a fall at 4 months and he was fine with a little goose egg, but definitely go check w a doctor to give you some peace of mind. 🫂

My son did this not too long ago but was still strapped into the chair (booster seat style, I meant to put the straps back on but forgot.) I seen it happening but though I put the strap on when I thought of it 😢 he had a bloody mouth and nose I felt horrible.
