I planned on it with my daughter but in the moment(s!) I couldn't be bothered with the faff and also was post emergency section so not feeling mobile enough to face a shower at that point. I was in for four days but I just scraped my hair back in a pony tail and had a sort of body bath each day. Bit gross but...!!! My first shower when I got home was absolutely blissful!

I was wondering the same earlier, I've got shampoo and conditioner packed as I'm hopefully having a water birth

No. Personally I was too sore and exhausted after baby, dry shampoo was my saviour until I got home when I had my first x

I took it with my first, but didn't end up doing it....

I’ve brought mini travel versions with me but dunno if I’ll use them, I didn’t when I gave birth to my first but always handy to have just incase 😂

I did. I took a full shower after my c section and vaginal birth. I have to wash my hair everyday and I wanted to feel clean after all the birth

I got in the shower as soon as my epidural had worn off with my first 😅 I had a long labour and was desperate to feel a bit more human. Made the most of having my own bathroom/shower on delivery suite before going down to a shared ward x

Nah. I wash once a week my whole life. My hair barely gets oily no matter the length or colour (always changing) 😄 But I am taking a travel size hair shampoo just in case it got dirty 👀

I can't imagine washing my hair in the hospital. I want to spend as little time as possible in that shower

I've got shampoo just in case it depends on how sweaty I get and how long I'm in for

I took stuff to be able to, but to be honest I had my hair in a ponytail for an entire week I think 🤣 it wasn't even a thought

Depends on how sweaty I get but honestly dont like laying on wet hair and don’t know if they’d be hair dryer or not

I have with one of mine because I felt able to and wanted to wash the blood of myself but with my first I didn’t until I got home and I actually preferred getting clean at home and getting into my pjs. Each to their own. Take the bits in case you decide to.

I didn’t think I’d want one but I had a full shower after my baby was born and it made me feel so much better x

I will probably pack a small shampoo and conditioner just incase I feel like I need to but also hoping to just be there for a day or two max so hopefully won’t need to wash hair😅 much prefer to do a full shower when I get home in my own bathroom ya know?

I did! I felt grimy all over so I wanted to wash everything. Once my partner arrived, I told him to look after the baby while I went for a shower.

100% planning on washing my hair, I may not depending on circumstances but I’ll take shampoo with me incase I do 😊

I did with my first. Absolutely hated spending time in the hospital shower but definitely made me feel more human afterwards!x

I just had a body shower when in hospital after having my first and plan to do the same this time around. Will bring dry shampoo with me to use if I need it. I feel like if I washed my hair I'd need to bring my straighteners too to tame it afterwards and just don't fancy doing that when in hospital

I have both normal shampoo and dry one, just in case, and a towel. Apparently the towels are not great at the hospitals.

I did with my first baby, purely because I was in there for a week. In labour for 2 days and I just wanted to try anything to make me feel human!😂

just make sure if you use the dry shampoo you’re away from yours/everyone’s babies as most hospitals don’t like aerosol’s like deodorants and stuff like that because of getting in the air x

I was induced so after a 38 hour labour I 100% made use of the big spacious shower to wash my hair and body properly before going up to the ward!! It freshens you up so much!x

I was induced with my 1st so once my water broke the next morning and my contractions were getting stronger my partner helped me shower because I thought the heat would help with contractions (which it did) but mainly because my waters broke + lost my mucus plug I felt abit yucky and wanted to be fresh.
I've put miniatures in for this time (due in around 2 weeks) whether I use them or not I don't know. I think after birth I felt there was no time to mess with that when you have a newborn baby. I just wiped my legs down and got dressed x

I would’ve but I had an emergency c section and it was just too hard, even with husbands help. Drying and styling after is the worse for me, I can’t just wash and wear my dry, wavy hair. If I have more energy next time and get a vbac I will for sure! I’m going to ask a friend to come blow dry it for me haha

😂
