This is weird behaviour. He should have been there to take you and then could have taken you for food after. Pregnant women need to know their partners are there for them. He could surprise you in some fun other way but taking you to the doctor is the bare minimum!

How else did he think you were getting home....he told you he couldn't pick you up because his car is wrecked my initial thought would be to find another method of getting home, which for you was a Lyft. What did he think was gonna happen 🙄
