4 weeks old and does it every night. I don’t mind it because it means he’s okay. Not choking. Still breathing. We call him a piggy pie when he does it. It’s the goofiest noise.
@Ann-marie unfortunately I haven't been able to think of anything to help with it... she does seem okay within herself though and knowing it's occurring with other babies of similar ages helps me feel better about it x
My LO is 3, nearly 4 weeks and does the exact same thing. And sounds the same! Newborns are sooo noisy especially when they sleep, which I never knew (I’m a FTM) but my LG always sounds congested when sleeping almost like snoring. But I believe it’s normal and reading posts like this confirm that for me :) x
My little boy will be 7 weeks on Friday and he does it too, sometimes it really worries me, I asked the midwife’s they said because he’s a c section baby, they are nosier breathers but after a visit to the gp today alongside a rash that he’s had on and off for the last couple of weeks and fussiness she believes cows milk allergy she said that can cause the congestion noises too so we have been put on a dairy free plan for 1 month to see how it goes !
Same thing here I was told by my pediatrician it was as totally normal and to stop trying to suck all the boogs out bc I could irritate her nasal passages. The noises had us so worried but the doctor told me to try a stem humidifier so her dad actually ended up getting us a big humidifier for my place and it has made a world of difference! She hasn’t had any more congestion or mucus issues since the day we started using it.
