Is a bottle warmer/sanitizer necessary?

FTM due in one month. I’m having mixed feelings about investing in a baby bottle warmer. There are some hybrids that warm and then clean after. Is it necessary or can I just warm it up under hot water when/if needed and can I just clean them in the sink or even the dishwasher? Curious what other moms do

I honestly just boil water and leave them in there for about 10-15 mins when I first got my son's bottles. My son is on formula and I bought a water warmer that keeps the distilled water warm for 72 hours and it's AMAZING. Highly recommend!!

Bottle warmer yes sanitizer no. I sanitize my bottles after opening a brand new package and then every
Month in the sterilizer microwave bags. The warmer saves us when our son wakes up we pop a bottle in the warmer and go sooth him until it’s ready. For everyday washing we just use dawn soap and water and dry it on the rack or pop them in the dishwasher in a little caddy we got from target.

i don’t think they are a necessity. i just boiled all new products that i could to sanitize them and after that i just wash them with very very hot water and sometimes i soak them in water dish soap and vinegar:) as for warmers they are also not needed at least for me i didn’t BF. my baby never had warm bottles i heard that’s better because then they depend on their milk being warmed all the time., fun fact babies can drink room temp milk just fine

You can live without a bottle warmer. If you really want one, try checking local thrift stores, Facebook Marketplace, etc. I saw a whole set at a thrift store for $5.

Bottle warmer is definitely not necessary.

You don’t need them as there is more than one way to warm a bottle or sanitize them. Depends what bottle warmer your thinking about. I personally don’t have one but I do have a portable bottle warmer for when we go out for the day and makes life so easy. At home I don’t have one as I have a different method. I do have an electric tommee tippee sanitizer and use it every day. Only takes a few minutes and it’s done. Not just for bottle but for dummies, teething toys and some toys. Usually soak, wash and put them in.

I loved my warmer and found it a necessity for night feeds. I thought it would be a novelty, but we kept it upstairs in her bedroom, with a fridge to keep her bottles, and warming one for night feeds was less than 5 minutes.

Also it was handy when we went to visit family, we could just take it with us for easy bottle warming. I'm sure others have different opinions but we found it incredibly useful!

Didn't do much need a combination sterilizer or anything, we sterilized a lot more than just bottles so just having a sterilizer we used for everything worked much better for us.

Nah don't need a warmer, we just warm our baby's bottles in the microwave x

I have never used a bottle warmer, warm/hot water does the same thing, as for sanitizer/steriliser you can boil the bottles to sterilise them

Sanitizer yes (but I had a preemie). Bottle warmer our pediatrician said no. It's just a preference warm or not. We used warm water in an insulated mug and then when the babies asleep on you and the water is cooled off you have a drink at hand 😂

Babies can learn to like cold or room temperature milk. This will make your life easier.

Definitely not a necessity.
I will say however, I was gifted a nice Phillips bottle dryer/sterilizer & I use it multiple times a day. It made everything SO easy. Just pop em in the sterilizer/dryer & boom perfectly clean bottles. I loved mine!
I also had a baby Brezza formula pro machine & that my friend was a God send 👏👏

this I did see at target today and it’s was less than $40 so I thought they might be worth it. Thank you!

I have a $14 bottle warmer from Walmart so not a huge investment but I needed it when she stopped drinking cold milk. It’s fast and so easy. As for the sterilizer, I’m for it 100% I got one that sterilizes, dries, and thaws all in one. I love it because I can thaw out my frozen soups for myself in it but also sterilize all the baby stuff as well. Obviously not at the same time but the multi use capability has made it well worth it. I got mine from Amazon for less than $80 I think

I’ve got a warmer and I’ve never even plugged it in, just taking space on my counter haha I just keep a flask of boiled water and use the nuby rapid hot shot method! Sterilizer I have Tommee tippees electric sterilizer and dryer, fits 6 bottles and dummies or extras, I run that once a day it’s fab!

I have a sanitizer that also dries the bottles and a bottle warmer, and I can say they save me a lot of time and work.

Sanitizer no… I had one with my first, and barely used it. Warmer yes. I used the microwave method (bottle of water in microwave for 15 sec, pour into bottle, add formula, shake and test on back of hand) with my first. This time I got a warmer from the registry, and it’s been a lifesaver. Takes 5 min total

I’m expressing so keeping milk in the fridge. My bottle warmer is a life saver. I just keep it on 35 degrees and pop the bottle in for the next feed and it’s ready whenever baby is. I haven’t used the steriliser function. It can also warm up baby food and defrost breast milk.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
