My one boob is hard in some parts. I’ve tried a hot compress and pumping on/off 15-20 minutes at a time. What else can I do? I have the Momcpzy s9 pro, and no manual pump other than a Hakka. But I don’t like the Hakka it hurts. With the momcozy I only pump not even half an ounce at a time. Please what else can I do? I don’t want it to get worse. It’s visibly bigger than the other boob and like I said hard. I rub around my boob. Trying to “loosen” it up.

Please scrap the hot compress that hurts and doesnt resolve anything. Use the BAIT method.
Breast rest: don’t pump or massage too much.
Advil: 800 milligrams (mg) every eight hours for 48 hours
Ice: Apply for 10 minutes at a time while laying on your back.
Tylenol: 1000mg every 8hours
I usually take 2 tylenol tablets and 1 advil and still worked for me

Are you able to try to latch baby? Babies are more efficient than a pump so they may be able to help but if not I would say get a manual pump ASAP. When I had this problem the pump helped so much. But keep monitoring how you feel. If you start to feel flu like symptoms or develop a fever you most likely have mastitis and need antibiotics! I hope it gets better soon!

Also don't over pump! It causes your body to make more milk than you need

Whilst pumping or feeding baby I would massage the hard lump down towards the nipple. You could also try some Epsom salts in your haaka to draw out the blockage. There’s loads of YouTube videos on how to do this and I found this quite successful too. It’s super uncomfortable so I feel your pain!

Looks like you got a stuck/clogged milk duct, when I can't get a duct to release I use vibration, so I have a few breast massagers and they help.concentrate on the hardest parts. I've heard of some ppls husbands helping them to stimulate letdowns to release as well.
I hope all works out for you mama

I would hand compress and not pump, and when hand compress massage that part to loosen it. When baby is feeding massage the knot too. A pump won’t break don’t the knot of milk in the milk duct you’ll have to push it out with your hand and just compress into a cup or something or over the sink. That’s what worked for me at the beginning as it is painful and the pump makes it worse, it’s telling your body to make more milk and you aren’t getting much out.

This might be weird but if you have a partner and both are willing they might be able to help. Yes it sounds weird and will feel weird at first but it helps a lot.

yes I tried to get her to latch and she did but the milk wouldn’t really come out even with her sucking away and it was frustrating her. That’s why I started pumping, I eventually just left it to be after his massaging the boob. When my little girl woke up in the night to feed, my boob was as expected very full, and she latched and was able to drink it to were it was much better. Not hard. Felt sore after but was happy it went down. Thank you

I'm glad to hear it!!
