In Revelations 19 it says Jesus has writing on his thigh. "King of Kings and Lord's of Lords" It is written by John. Anyone trying to explain it away as not a tattoo doesn't do a good job and when I googled it (which isn't always a good option) it says it shows he's going to come back in the future. That could mean it's a tattoo just without the machine we use today. Obviously, times have changed and what was said and done back then aren't the same as now. If he did have a tattoo it wouldn't have been in the same manner as we do now. I can only assume it was placed there by God unless I missed somewhere that says where he got it from. If it was 'placed' there does it not still count as a tattoo?
This caused a lot of distress with people in women's Bible class, so if anyone is offended by me asking or assuming Jesus has a tattoo, please know I am only asking because
1 it was a topic the pastor brought up for us to discuss
2 I didn't think anyone really spoke about it andjust got defensive and judgemental about how tattoos are awful/sinful (and spoke about them outside the church as well but thats the the point of this post) and I wanted to know if anyone had answers
3 I'm honestly curious
Please know I ask with no disrespect and am not trying to start a debate. Thank you in advance.

Honestly, I haven't thought much about it. I highly doubt that it is a tattoo as tattoos are contrary to Jewish law. There is a lot in Revelations that is not literal.
