Sleep

Hi really need some tips and help !
My daughter is 20 months months , I’m all over the place with nap time like when to start it , should I wake her up after a certain time or let her sleep so she’s not as groggy for the rest of the day because she’s till waking through the night , really unsettled, keeps waking up winging and stuff , should I completely drop her nap? If anyone has dropped there nap has there baby slept through the night ?

What is your routine currently?

My LO sleeps 7:30-7 (stirs a couple of times but can get himself back to sleep)

And sleeps 12-2 but this varies at weekends as we have a different schedule to nursery during the week.

20mths is quite early to be dropping a nap.

Mine at 22mths now is napping for 50mins so has reduced slightly but couldn’t go to all day with no rest.

We never used to wake a nap we would just adjust bed time (either bring it forwards or push it back) I always thought if they are sleeping they need to rest

My LO loves nap time too, he’ll sleep from 12 to 3 and I put him to sleep at 1 than he’ll wake up 4,
If I wake him up earlier he’ll cry only until he’s back to sleep in my arms. So now I adjust his bedtime in the evening. He does wake up at night sometimes and wants to be rocked back to sleep.
We still put him to sleep rocking in our arms or in bed. Something we’re trying to work on.

20 months is early to be always sleeping through the night. Especially with so many developmental changes and teething etc. My lg sleeps through sometimes and not others for no specific reason. She goes back to sleep with a cuddle and that’s fine. She goes to bed at 8 and wakes about 7 on average. She goes down for a nap at 1 and sleeps however long she wants to usually 2hrs average sometimes 3 sometimes 1.5. Each child is different as long as you get them into a good routine the rest will follow in time. X

I can’t let my little girl nap any longer than 1hr 15/30 otherwise she’s a nightmare at night. On average, goes to bed between 7.30-8 and wakes around 8am. She usually goes down for her nap around 11.30am/12. We have had the odd day with 0 nap too!

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
