Do any dairy free formulas taste nice?
I bought nutramigen 1 to see if it makes a difference to my babies eczema but he won't drink it. I tried it myself and it tastes awful so I don't blame him! It's not even sweet and breast milk is so sweet.
He's still breastfeeding but I'd like him to have a formula he can drink too. He's 10 months nearly and eats well. I'm dairy free now so fingers crossed his skin improves. He can't sleep as its so itchy.

Our little one was 9 months when they suggested dairy free & it was a game changer. However they said he probably wouldn’t take prescription milk as it tastes awful & he had been on normal cow and gate for so long. So the dietician suggested using cow and gate colic and constipation milk as the proteins were broken down differently and it worked a treat xx
I was told to use vanilla extract for the first couple of bottles to help with the taste x
They all taste awful I'm afraid especially to a baby who's been bf for so long
We was lucky my girl took to the milks but she was only 2 weeks old
They all taste vile, but some are worse than others!
Thanks so much for the feedback ladies. It's so expensive to buy these special formulas so you've saved me a fortune!
My GP has always been quite dismissive as its not as bad as some people but it's stopping my baby (and me) sleeping so I thought I'd try a dairy free formula from an online pharmacy. I made porridge with it once and even tried adding jam but it was still god awful!

Did it cause diarrhoea? I'm a bit nervous in case it upsets his stomach. He went to nursery today for 5 hrs without milk and just had solids but then came home and breastfed for ages bless him. Partly for comfort as he's not used to being away from me.
I'm just wondering how much formula milk would a 10 month old have or are some ok with just solids and just a little milk?
I know he can have other milks from 1 year old so not too long before we can try others.
I'll get the cow and gate one you suggested as back up but I'm nervous about giving him the runs!
