Family doctor

Hi! Does anyone have an advice or leads on family doctors or nurse practitioners that may be accepting new patients?
Our family doctor told us to call around because they won’t take our son as a patient, but I’m a little lost on where to start.
We are already on the wait list for a do to but I know that can take forever.
