Cold cot sheet waking baby! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Does anyone have any suggestions for how i could safely make my sons cot sheet warmer at night? My son has become really restless at night since the weather has turned and we have worked out that it seems to be because the cot sheet is cold and it's waking him! He sleeps in a sleepsuit/grobag etc whatever is appropriate for the room temp, but its his head which is causing the issue and it's not really safe for him to sleep in a hat Currently we settle him on my dressing gown in his cot as per the picture whilst we are awake and able to watch him on the monitor, but as soon as we are going to go to sleep we have to take him off of this and put him into the next to me (he's 15 weeks) We have tried putting a hot water bottle or wheat bag down before moving him which kind of works but through the night as he's currently in the active sleep phase he moves around so wondered if anyone had found anything more consistent? TIA

Could you get a teddy bear style under sheet? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mattress-Protector-Comfort-Breathable-Quilting/dp/B078CQYP9D

I was going to suggest the same as above 😊

Could you try a brushed cotton rather than smooth cotton sheet these often feel warmer than smooth cotton

Have you tried a space heater to make the whole room warmer. Thats what I use only at night (my house is warmer during the day) My husband likes the house cold to go to sleep so it keeps her room a tad warmer and we set the temperature and it just automatically comes on if the room gets below that temp.

On cold night I have rubbed a hot water bottle on the cot, while my partner holds baby and checked its not too hot before placing baby down

Warm the whole room up, not just the cot. We use a space heater and it turns on when the room drops below a certain temp

I think my lo has same issue, we ended up using one of his breathable blankets and put it on top of his sheets tucked it into sides and he seems to not be restless as much hos uses sleeping bag too. but I do keep checking the camera as I'm always anxious

I’ve got a lamb skin fluffy thing under my girls sheet.

Thanks everyone! ❤️ Our room isn't cold at all, usually sits around 21 degrees according to our groegg and we don't have the window open I will take a look at some different sheets and maybe a large heating pad to see if these help! Hes just started to roll onto his front so need to make sure whatever we use is breathable incase he starts rolling in his sleep! X

he definitely will it's a new milestone for him

Fleece sheet feels less cold

We’ve started using togged baby grows as we had breathable blankets but she kept moving out of them! It’s amazing how much better my daughter is sleeping but we still tuck her under her blanket to begin with. She wriggles out of it in no time at all but stays lovely and warm.

@Daisy ohh we do actually have one of these I was saving it for colder nights but maybe I'll try it!

I put a heat pad in the bed to preheat it and take it out before baby gets put down for bed. When I pull him out for feeds/diaper changes I pop the heat pad back in to keep it warm for him.
