@Jessie I didn’t even think about this thank you so much xxx
Yes agree with breast pads would recommend getting some reusable ones as they are really easy to wash.
Get a haaka and put it on breast ur not using then rotate to the next when u switch. This way no milk is being wasted!
@Karly I can’t pump as I’m 23 weeks x
You can get free breast pads from boots through the parenting club x
Hi lovely, if you don't want to collect yet then breast pads are your best bet. Disposable are fine but I found reusable ones more comfortable. Otherwise you can buy milk collection shells. Sterilise them as you would with a bottle, then pop them in your bra and the colostrum will just collect. You could then freeze what you do collect 🥰 shells are a great way to passively collect milk.
@Elly I can’t pump as I’m 29 weeks xxx
@Rebecca collection shells don't pump or stimulate in any way. They literally just collect anything that leaks out.
@Elly oh alright thank you xx
@Elly where can I get these from? Xx
Have a look on amazon for milk collection shells 🥰
@Elly thank you are you sure it’s nothing to do with pumping as I don’t want early labour xx
@Rebecca yes, it's similar to if you were to hold a cup under your breast. It's completely passive and does not stimulate like a haaka or a pump does. The shells are great in the early days post birth too when you tend to get leaky boobs to passively collect milk without pumping or stimulating to support milk supply to stabilise in those early weeks while not letting any drops go to waste. Worth having a look at La Leche League or the Breastfeeding Network if you want more information, they both have brilliant resources 😊
Breast pads, I got some from Tesco and go through two pairs a day but it’s better than a sticky bra 🙈
