Gentle dummy weaning method?

One of my mates said they cut the teat of the dummy and their kid just started refusing it

Following! I keep thinking we’ll need to stop the dummy for sleep but I can’t imagine her ever being able to sleep without it 😩

Also looking for advice as suddenly he’s become too lazy to look for it himself like he used too and just sits crying untill we go in

Some people cut the teats off and I’ve heard a few people dip it into apple cider vinegar x
